The firm's trial practice is primarily in the state courts of Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Bibb, Choctaw, Clarke, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Pickens, Sumter and Walker counties and the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of the federal court system in Alabama. Appellate work is handled in the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
Firm Heritage
The firm now known as Turner and Turner, P.C. was founded by James A. ("Jim") Turner in 1952. Louise I. Turner joined Jim, her husband, in 1953. James D. ("Don") Turner, son of Jim and Louise, joined the firm in 1974. Brian Turner, Don's son, joined the firm in 1998.
